Portsmouth is situated in the county of Hampshire found in the Southern area of England. It is one of the cities in the country with highest density. Portsmouth or also known as Pompey is where you can find oldest dry dock which is still in use by a lot of famous ships up to now. Ships include flagship H.M.S. Victory. It is still a major dockyard and base for the navy. It is also considered a commercial port that serves both freight and passenger traffic. The biggest landmark found in this area is Fratton Park. This attraction was just opened in 2005. It is located at the edge of Portsmouth Harbour. It is actually within the proximity of Gunwharf Quays development. It is higher than the London eye so it is considered the tallest publicly accessible structure in the UK.
